Enjoy Bird Viewing

Deep in the bush of Iphofolo, away from busy cities and noisy streets, you will find the peace and quiet needed for birding. Sit up high in the hyde to enjoy spotting all the wildlife including yellow masked weavers and secretary birds

Limpopo is bushveld country – grasslands, thorn trees, the magic baobab and effortless blue skies. Lying to the very north of the country, it is also famous for its waterfalls, forests and wildlife. There are many beautiful places nearby Iphofolo to visit. Tours can be arranged on request.

Soutpansberg Mountain Range

The majestic and awe inspiring Soutpansberg mountain range stretches 130 kilometers from west to east through the Limpopo region. It can be seen from Iphofolo, and is an hours drive to the base where one can enjoy an invigorating hike to the top to enjoy the beautiful vistas over the bushveld and beyond.

Blouberg Nature Reserve

Blouberg Nature Reserve covers an area of 9,360ha. The highlight of the reserve is the huge breeding colony of vultures which inhabit the eastern Blouberg mountain cliffside. The vulture restaurant enables you to see the vultures at a much closer range and is located just a 20 minute drive from the Iphofolo.

Mapungubwe National Park and World Heritage Site is the ideal location for anyone interested in the park’s vast wildlife and birds, to those in search of serenity, and understanding of the the extraordinary history of this World Heritage Site.
